A round up of our June Weddings.

Although our British summer has so far been a wash out, here at Creative Cover Hire we have had the pleasure of dressing many beautiful summer weddings so far. Soft elegant neutral colours with touches of lace, greens & purples have been a poplar theme here are just a few of the June weddings that we have helped to create..

Cappucino sateen hooded bows go beautifully in the Balmoral suite Bartle Hall and the ivory voile beam drapes add them    finishing touches.

Ivory chair covers with champagne organza hoods & ivory lace bows helped add that vintage feel to this wedding at Browsholme Hall. The Ivory damask slip cloths added that luxury feel.

Eaves Hall was a beautifull setting for this civil ceremony, grape organza bows added that depth of colour, just perfect for this bride and groom.

Beeston Manor on the jubilee weekend looked elegant with the ivory sateen hoods and pearl clusters placed in the backs of the bows. The top table drape added the finishing touch with the brides touches of pink adding that splash of colour.

The Stables suite at Stanley House had simple but elegant vintage green knotted ties for this civil ceremony. With the fairy lit backdrop being the perfect finishing touch, ideal for having your photgraphs

Jennifer and Stephen were planning this wedding for 2 years at the Thistle Hay Dock Marquee and have been friends of Creative Cover Hire for a long time. White chair coverse with black sateen hooded bows finished off with the black table cloths and fairylit backdrop looked stunning.

Our new Mint sateen looked stunning in the Crosby suite at Rudding Park with alternating lace sashes over the green added that vintage feel

Ideas for Table Draping.

Table draping brings together the whole look of a room. Whether your having the top table draped or the cake and registrar table, draping enhances your colour scheme and ties in with your chosen style.

In the above picture, an ivory damask slip cloth was used with four ivory sateen bows with added pearl detail on all four corners, the effect was simple but stunning. (At Beeston Manor)

The registrar's table is just as important to dress as the top table, here at Browsholme Hall a cappuccino draping was used to accentuate the table and bring in the chosen chair sash colour.

And how about this for a WOW factor to your top table drape - Hot pink and ivory voile draping with fairy lights. (At Farington Lodge)

Below is a collection of various table drapes to show what can be achieved with draping.

Accessories and Accessorising

So, you have decided on having chair covers, you have decided on your colour scheme.. but something is missing.

Accessories!

Here at Creative Cover Hire we have many creative people working on new ideas, and ideas specifically requested by our brides.
Accessorising chair sashes is becoming very popular, below are a few ideas that we have worked on recently.
.

The Starfish centre piece is placed in the middle of a ruched bow.

This pearl detail sets off the navy blue organza

When having draping in your venue, it may be worth considering what extra touches you could use to tie in with either your colour scheme or any special details.

This bow and pearl heart detail, can be used either on draping and top table draping or as a pew end on a chair, if having a civil ceremony.

Our recent new addition to accessories is our beautiful handmade organza flower, we have designed this to be able to be used as shown, as a detail on the chair sash, or it can also be used on the top table or cake table draping. As well as the organza material, we have also used a small circle pearl detail to add a touch of luxury.

Napkins are an ideal way to accessorise:

The pearl cluster detail with the ivory lace ribbon - gives this napkin tie a subtle and sophisticated look.

Lace and a heart shaped diamonte buckle placed on a cadbury purple coloured ribbon, brought the whole theme of this wedding together.

We also used these napkins as hand made place names.

Jubilee Special

Here at CCH HQ, we were very excited to be involved in lots of Jubilee themed events and weddings over the Jubilee weekend.

The red, white and blue themes created were amazing.

One of the events we dressed was The Clifton Arms in Lytham, the event was a Jubilee dinner and the organisers opted for red and blue lame with white lycra chair covers.

Our team of creative venue dressers, designed the chair sashes in such a way, that the red sash, sat on top of the blue sash and when looked at from the back a red and blue rosette was formed, to give that extra touch of regal decoration.

With the venues added bunting and Union Jack napkins, the flags were flying high for this special Jubilee dinner.

We also dressed an awards dinner at the Queens Hotel in Leeds, again the red and blue lame sashes were used to create rosettes.

The over all effect was stunning, the whole room was a regal salute to the Queens Jubilee.

Of course not everyone wanted to go all out with the red and blue colours, instead we dressed one wedding with a subtle nod to the celebrations by using royal blue.

The royal blue sateen used at Stanley House, gave the room a luxurious feel, without being too overwhelming.

Here at The Great Hall at Mains a shade of purple was used ( Aubergine) which enhanced the ivory voile draping's. The sashes were tied in a hooded bow.

At Singleton Lodge, aubergine was again used, this time the bows on the end pews were tied to the side.

As you can see from the pictures above, we had a great time over the Jubilee weekend, and we hope you did too.

The Art Of Draping

The Art of Draping

Dressing your chosen wedding venue is not just about chair covers and sashes or table top decorations. There is also Draping.

Draping is becoming more popular with brides and grooms, who want to add that extra special touch to their wedding day. Although it is true, that draping can hide a wall or disguise something that you may not want to be seen, draping also provides a chance to enhance venues and create an environment specific to you and your guests.

Of course draping is not only used for wedding venues, draping has been used to provide Corporate events and special occasion events with some fantastic imaginative ideas.

 The Basics:

Wanting to disguise something?

You may love your venue, but you just wish that you could hide the large green EXIT sign that is right behind you and your top table guests – the solution could be a Fairylit Backdrop. Venue: Stanley House

Not only, as above shows, are they beautiful to look at, but they are great at hiding stages, doorways and signs or even large windows. They can also incorporate your colour scheme with bows being added. Venue: Rivington Hall Barn

Have Large beams at your venue?

Your chosen venue may have large beams, which whilst looking beautiful on their own, you may find that you want to enhance them with draping as shown below. Or to create a completely different look,in the next picture, the whole of the ceiling was transformed with a canopy of organza to create a soft, romantic marquee look.
Venue: Bartle Hall.

And if your lucky enough to have chandeliers at your venue, these can be incorporated by using chandelier drapes.
Venue: Great Hall at Mains

Incorporate your colour and material scheme into the draping, by adding bows to highlight the drapes. On this photograph and the one above, we also used fairylights to add that special lighting effect.

Want Something different or to transform the venue of your corporate or special occasion event?

So you have chosen your venue but you want to add the wow factor, the photographs below show just what can be achieved with our imagination and creativeness coupled with the direction of the client.

This spectacular ceiling drape had colour and fairylights added to create an effect that was truly breathtaking. Venue: De Vere Herons' Reach Hotel.

This photograph shows the over all effect, including the use of the fairylit backdrop.

Walkways are always popular especially with fairy lights and swathes of material.

This photograph shows the use of ceiling drapes alongside fairylit draping.
            Venue: Twelves Restaurant.

Want to include draping into your wedding but not sure how?

Then take a look at these creations we have done, and see if they give you some inspiration. Civil Ceremony draping at Mytton Fold, top table draping with blue fairy lights and top table draping with white fairy lights at Singleton Lodge.

When used alongside your flower designer, your wedding venue coordinator and your wedding venue dresser - draping can bring the whole room together giving you and your guests a unique and beautiful room to enjoy your big day in.

Aisle Carpets - adding that touch of glamour.

Almost every lady has dreamt of walking down the red carpet in a beautiful dress at some point in her life. It will almost certainly never happen (Sorry).

But, if you are getting married then we have the next best thing, an aisle carpet.

Historically aisle carpets were used after all the guests had been seated, ushers would then roll out the carpet, to preserve the purity of the bride and her dress.
Even further back in history, the aisle carpet was used to ward off evil spirits, who were thought to be able to rise from the floorboards of the church.

Aisle carpets are a fabulous way of enhancing your venue, whilst also providing the bride with a beautiful walkway, that can be styled by incorporating your own ideas and themes.

Below we have selected some of the aisle carpet designs that we have done, to give you an idea of   what can be achieved.

For this ceremony, we used the muted colour scheme to highlight the aisle carpet by creating a wave of fallen petals on the carpet itself. Also notice the use of lanterns on the fire place.

We made a feature out of the aisle carpet for this ceremony at Farrington Lodge, again using the original colour scheme idea, we created the wave and heart to co-ordinate the room whilst also providing a touch of romance.

At Mitton Hall we not only used petals along the side of the aisle carpet, but we also used aisle draping.

Again, another example of using the carpet to make a subtle addition to a room, although the added addition of the lighted dance floor does add a fantastic touch.

So as you can see, aisle carpeting can be used to enhance your venue either in a dramatic way or to provide subtle glamour.

Thanks to Flower Design for some of the photographs.
